FAQ

You have questions, I have answers.

Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: I am currently an in-network provider for CIGNA, First Health, United Healthcare, Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield and Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield .

Q: My insurance doesn't cover therapy services, can my child still see you?

A: Yes! I don't want insurance benefits to stop a child/teen from receiving the services they need. We can be creative in our treatment plan and scheduling to find something that could work for your family. Contact me to discuss pricing and plan options.

Q: Do you work with adults?

A:Yes. Therapy supports often end for high school and college students as they transition into the real world, even though this is a time when they need them most. l work with young adults on gaining strategies and skills for navigating life after school.

Q: Do you provide evaluations?

A: I do provide evaluations. I also accept school and outside evaluations that have been completed in the past year. In order to determine if services are warranted and to create a treatment plan, we will use a dynamic assessment process using a combination of any of the following; individual and family interviews, standardized tests, skill probes, observations, teacher/physician/therapist reports and school work review.

Q: What kind of team trainings do you do?

A: I provide education on how to support neurodivergent individuals, this can be in a place of education or workplace.  Trainings can be customized to fit specific needs.

Q: What is a cairn?

A: A cairn is a stack of rocks. They have many different meanings and uses. I selected this name because the stacks remind me of therapy. No two stacks look the same and there isn't a right or wrong way to build one, but they all take a little effort and the only direction is up.
