MEET THE THERAPIST

Let me introduce myself

Jillian Wing is a Speech-Language Pathologist who focuses on autism and pragmatic communication disorders. She graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA and then moved south to complete a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Portland State University. Jillian has always had a passion for working with children and teens, and focused her studies on pediatrics.

Jillian has worked in medical and private practice settings, providing individual and group therapy, as well as working on autism diagnostic teams. Her past experiences have helped shape the clinician that she is today and helped her identify the need in the community for a provider that isn't bound to test scores for qualification. Family partnerships and collaboration are key to her work, as she believes that therapeutic gains rely on the foundation of trust and rapport with each patient and their family.

Jillian is passionate about supporting Autistic and Neurodivergent communicators. She makes it a point to learn and listen to Autistic (#actuallyautistic) perspectives. She is a trauma-informed therapist.

Jillian lives in Portland with her husband, two children, dog, and large cat. She enjoys yoga, baking and hiking, but has forgotten what spare time is after having her children.

Jillian has a Washington license, Oregon license and is ASHA certified.
